In late 2019, after decades of working at global law firms, Simon Bushell and Gareth Keillor took a “leap of faith” and set up their own firm. London-based firm Seladore Legal focuses only on disputes, specialising in major and complex litigation and arbitration, with particular emphasis on multi-party, multi-jurisdictional disputes.

It was the knowledge and energy of the Stridon team that appealed to the team at Seladore Legal. “Stridon showed a real understanding of what a law firm needed – asking lots of thought-provoking questions, and a genuine excitement of the potential of working together” added Simon. An ambitious launch deadline meant that the firm had to be up and running servicing clients within weeks. “Stridon demonstrated a real ‘can do’ attitude to meet our timescales. The support team at Stridon ensured the process was seamless and went out of their way to help us,” said Simon. Seladore Legal would also benefit from shared best practices that Stridon had gained from working with many law firms. |

IT is an enabler
Combining the delivery of cloud-based services within managed, flexible, and reliable IT services meet the exact requirements for Seladore Legal. Leveraging Microsoft’s modern workplace portfolio combined with a roll-out of Microsoft Surface Pro provides Seladore Legal with the collaborative tools they need to support their work from anywhere model and international client-base.
“Simple, reliable IT was important to us, but it goes without saying that having a secure solution was crucial. Stridon had the security specialisations, deep expertise, and ongoing monitoring services that give us the confidence that we are doing everything we can to protect our business and client data, which is obviously highly confidential,” said Gareth.
Seladore Legal is now a team of eleven lawyers – all of whom have come from large, global law firms. “Stridon manages the onboarding of all of our new team members – and it’s seamless. From day one they are completely up and running.” said Gareth.
Getting the basics right was a key priority for Seladore. “IT just has to work. And it does,” added Gareth.
